At Simard’s Firearm Training, we prioritize the safety of each and every student. Our USCCA and NRA certified instructor, Peter Simard, has been teaching firearms for over 15 years. With over 50 years of experience working with firearms, we know exactly what to do to give you the best experience whether you’re a beginner or an experienced firearm enthusiast. CT Pistol permit classes
$150.00 for the 8 hour course. Classes are kept smaller to allow everyone to learn with hands on training. Class sizes are generally 10-12 students or smaller.

This includes Class work, Training in a Virtual Simulator, and live fire qualification at the range, All students start with a .22 handgun, .380 handgun, and a 9MM handgun. There is a non refundable $25 deposit to be paid online the remainder will be paid in cash the morning of the class. The permit class is being taught under the USCCA curriculum.

I can also accommodate one on one classes in your own home if you prefer not to sit with a group.
One on One Personalized training
I can cater classes to your personal needs. After you obtain your permit and you are still feeling uncomfortable with shooting or you are not sure what kind of firearm to purchase, I can assist with all of this. This an be an overwhelming process.

Times are booked min 1 hour to start then 1/2 increments after that. First hour is $150. If you book multiple hours I will work with you on the price.
Home Defense Fundamentals
4 hour class discussing the fundamentals of home defense.
This course covers everything from mindset & legalities to live-fire drills with handguns, shotguns, & AR-15s. Master firearm selection, hone shooting fundamentals, & learn critical home safety strategies. This course is perfect for new gun owners, experienced shooters, & anyone seeking responsible home defense training.
